Franck Olivier Oud Vanille Eau de Parfum

I would like to add to the review. On some websites, the perfume is listed as being for women rather than unisex, and I completely agree! I can't imagine it on a man at all. My husband also said that it's definitely a feminine scent.

Heavy, dense, smoky. A truly beautiful fragrance. Highly recommended for lovers of the East. Its longevity is infinite, with just one spray on the inside of the elbow, it intensively lasts for 16 hours and shows no signs of fading. It has a lingering trail. I will only use it by smearing.

I will update the review after some time. The scent has greatly improved, the heaviness has diminished, and a hint of vanilla has emerged. I really like it. It belongs to the same series as Tom Ford's Black Orchid.

I bought it as usual, blindly, based on reviews. I've never heard of anything like this before. This fragrance is very heavy, dense, it smells like some construction materials, resin, sorry. It's unpleasant. They overpower the vanilla. (((It's a pity, usually I like everything. I need to stop blind purchases.

I can't detect any oranges or jasmine, just a clean, alluring, slightly sweet scent. I like it. The aroma is very cozy and warm. It's sweeter on the skin than on clothes, but I wouldn't call it sweet. And, in my opinion, it's unisex. It's also incredibly long-lasting, a record for me, lasting several days on clothes and until bathing on the skin.

I'm glad I bought the perfume before reading Tamara's review, otherwise I would have hesitated. I find the scent intriguing and unique, I haven't worn anything like it before. I think it's perfect for fall, so I'll keep it and wait for the right moment to wear it.

Why didn't I order it before? This fragrance is absolutely amazing for lovers of smokiness, resin, and woody scents - it's a gem, they immediately burst out of the bottle. The vanilla is more apparent towards the end. Overall, this is a very worthy oud fragrance, not a gram worse than luxury or niche in this direction (I even smelled hospital bandages here, and my child smelled pickled cucumbers, definitely not middle-market notes). It's my discovery of the year. And yes, it's unisex. It sits beautifully on both my husband and me, even though I initially bought it for him. The sillage is noticeable, and it has decent longevity. I can still smell it on my body the next morning and on my hair until I wash it.

I also decided to blindly buy this perfume, solely based on the reviews and my familiarity with Franck Olivier fragrances. I was hoping for a similarity to Montale (which I absolutely adore!). And YES! There is a great similarity! The base is very similar. It leans towards Velvet Fantasy and Arabians Tonka... Woody, spicy, slightly bitter, with a hint of caramel (but not overwhelming!). The scent is complex, dense, and heavy. I am impressed! I made the right choice! It has a luxurious sound. I am very satisfied!!! By the way, the packaging and the bottle itself are also of very high quality, with no issues with the spray and cap. It's an original product. I often purchase high-end perfumes and makeup from Make Up and I am always satisfied! Always original! Thank you so much, Make Up!!!

This is my second review... The longevity is unbelievable... It's definitely a winter scent... However, it should be applied in moderation, otherwise it might give others a headache... At least that's what happened to me when I was traveling to Kiev and someone on the train asked me to hang my jacket elsewhere... Even after washing, you can still smell it on the clothes!

I'm thrilled! I absolutely love this fragrance. I have never come across such a successful combination with vanilla. It sounds interesting, not cliché. It's an evening scent, but I wear it whenever I can - I just love experiencing it. The sillage is there, but not overpowering (within a couple of steps). I think it would be unnecessary for it to be more aggressive. The longevity is good. The price-quality ratio is incredible. I disagree that it's only suitable for those over 35. I comfortably wear it in my thirties, and if I were younger, I wouldn't refuse it either. I will definitely buy it again. I highly recommend it. For this price, I don't think you'll find a perfume water that performs better or at least as well.

I have a friend who collects Montale fragrances, and when I visited her, she said, "You smell like Montale!" I didn't confess, but she complimented me all evening! It was funny when she said that Montale is unmistakable and can't be confused with anything else. Well, it seems they got confused! Fran Oliver truly surprised me! After their fruity and sweet scents, they released such a bold fragrance! It smells like the wood I adore, a hint of chemical notes, there is sweetness, but it's somewhere in the background... but the perfume is really amazing! All my friends and relatives appreciated it! No one complained about it being overpowering! I don't know how it will perform in summer and spring, but it's definitely perfect for fall and winter!

I bought this for myself. On my all-consuming skin, the fragrance is soft and very eastern, which I find pleasant. At first, there is a hint of something medicinal (probably oud), but it soon disappears. Indeed, those who prefer fresh scents should pass on this one. For me, this fragrance is a throwback to the 90s. However, it is far from Montale. Montale has a more exquisite base. The longevity is good - it doesn't fade quickly and it doesn't become tiresome for a whole day, like Montale does.

However, it is not so easy to find something like that in the mass market. Nevertheless, I ended up adding another specimen to my collection. The fragrance is truly unique, mysterious. After the initial spray, the notes of frankincense burst forth. I can hear it very distinctly, dense, deep, smoky, like incense. After about five minutes, it softens and gradually the vanilla comes into play. There is a hint of sweetness, but not overpowering. And then everything sparkles, it's difficult to distinguish the individual notes, it's a complete picture, with such soft transitions. On one hand, there are the smoky incense notes, and on the other hand, there is a delicate sweetness. As for longevity, it is excellent. I have hot skin and perfumes usually disappear quickly, but with this one, it's a completely different story. It truly lasts, even with just a small spray on my wrist, I could still smell it all day. The fragrance is beautiful, unusual, multifaceted. It's not a sweet oriental scent, but it's also not a monotonous smoky fragrance. It's a complete composition that, in my opinion, can either be liked or disliked, but it certainly won't leave anyone indifferent.

Yes, it's a heavy, sultry, dense, long-lasting scent. Although it may remind you of some Montale and Mancera fragrances. But it's unique!!! I haven't come across anything like it.
At first, you're hit with the smell of sweet cigarettes or hookah, you know, thick smoke. But fortunately, you can only smell it in the cap and the first 5 minutes after applying. Then it disappears completely, giving way to a vanilla oud seasoned with sweet, sultry rose and a bit of spice. It starts off loud, but gradually fades. In the dry down, you get a woody vanilla. It's really beautiful on cold days, wraps you up like a warm blanket and makes you crave tea with spices or mulled wine in a cozy, soulful company.
Long-lasting!!! It lasts on the skin for 1-2 days, depending on your skin type. On clothes, it lasts up to a week, and on hair, until the next wash.
Definitely an autumn-winter fragrance, preferably for evenings. In small doses, you can wear it during the day if you really want to :)
